Fivio Foreign
I had the pleasure of interviewing Fivio Foreign, who is largely known for his hit song City of Gods, including other great music.
Though he didn't know when it would happen, he saw himself one day being mentioned amongst the legends; many young artists say this. Few, however, make it come true.
Fivio expressed how much he loves his three children and being a dad; they are his pride and joy. When he's home, he is a hands-on dad; he loves eating cereal with his children, always playing with them, and gives that extra needed attention because he's on the road a lot. He told me his mom passed from cancer; we didn't touch that topic too much because no matter how long ago it happened, it's still hard to digest.
We also talked about how surreal it was for him to headline Summer Jam and Rolling Loud. He expressed his excitement for his upcoming show with 105.1 at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. Also, how the positive energy from his performance in Africa took over; he performed in front of 20K people in Africa, and he's also working on new music. Fivio's success started during the pandemic, so the last 14 months have been quite the whirlwind for him. Fivio, Thank you for squeezing me into your tight schedule and speaking with me; I have twenty questions. Let's get started!
